L&rsquo;Officiel Monaco is here to explore with Alina Azur and her daughter Emilyn IG a different facet of raising children in this unique environment &ndash; one that emphasizes humility, curiosity, and values that go beyond material riches.&nbsp;

LO: Alina, tell us about your family and how long you&rsquo;ve been living in Monaco. Alina Azur: We have been living in Monaco for seven years now. Emilyn is nearly six years old, attending the International School of Monaco. As for my son Timur, he&rsquo;s nearly four years old and currently relishing his playtime freedom at the playground.

LO: How do you strike a balance between introducing your children to the cultural and glamorous aspects of Monaco while also ensuring they appreciate the simpler joys in life? AA: Since my children&rsquo;s birth, I&rsquo;ve consistently emphasized to them the privilege of their birthplace and residence in Monaco, a stunning and secure country. In Monaco, children grow up in what can be described as a protected environment where everything appears flawless. I find it delightful that my children are maturing in such surroundings. However, it&rsquo;s important to convey to them that the world isn&rsquo;t universally perfect. For instance, Emilyn and I frequently visit orphanages, where we not only bring gifts for the orphans but also spend time with them.

LO: How do you instil a sense of value for money in your daughter? AA: For instance, Emilyn has a clear grasp of the process of earning money. I came up with an engaging game where Emilyn creates drawings or sculptures using modelling clay and then attempts to sell her creations. She can use the money she earns to select a personal gift, but she opts to purchase something for the children at the orphanage. She is evolving into a compassionate and considerate young girl, and I take great pride in her.

LO: What other activities does Emilyn do after school? AA: She pursued gymnastics for an extended period, displaying considerable talent. However, she&rsquo;s currently a devoted tennis enthusiast. As a result, I made the choice to allow her to dedicate more of her time to tennis. Nevertheless, she continues with gymnastics once a week to maintain the flexibility she has cultivated.

LO: During the photo shoot, Emilyn displayed a high level of professionalism, resembling a genuine supermodel. Is this something you might genuinely consider for her future? AA: In fact, Emilyn has already participated in several photoshoots, thoroughly enjoying the experience. She conducts herself impeccably on set, resulting in stunning photos. She&rsquo;s even been featured in other magazines. I believe she has the potential to excel as a model, and I am committed to supporting her every step of the way.

LO: Could you share any personal parenting insights? AA: I believe it&rsquo;s essential to supplement a child&rsquo;s education with hands-on experiences. For instance, Emilyn gained practical knowledge about how tomatoes grow by planting tomato seeds, tending to a garden bed, and watering them daily. Apart from regular schoolwork, we dedicate an hour each day to activities like solving the Mathematical Cube and Science. Ultimately, showering your children with love is paramount, as it empowers them to achieve significant success.
